This flat fee includes (1) the preparation and filing of the Certificate of Formation, (2) an Operating Agreement, (3) a Federal Tax ID/EIN, and (4) a banking resolution and other helpful documents (i.e. Officer Designation, Ownership Amendment Form, Meeting Minute Template, and S-Corp Tax Election).

At the time of the writing of this BetterLegal review, BetterLegal had 22 "Excellent/5 Star" reviews on Trust Pilot. Better Legal also has an A rating with the Better Business Bureau, where one positive review and zero complaints were listed.

BetterLegal Guaranty

BetterLegal does not provide a satisfaction guaranty. The Terms and Conditions state "All purchases through the Website are final and will not be refunded." We suspect the reason for this refund policy is due to their speed. When a customer submits an order, BetterLegal is working on the order and incurring filings fees within a few minutes.

BetterLegal Complaints

While the Better Legal website is simple to use, it is lacking in basic information about the company itself. There is no “About Us” page, and no visible/obvious contact information, such as a phone number, email address or “Contact” page. This could potentially make it difficult for customers to contact customer service. When writing this BetterLegal review, we could not find the company’s contact information on the website—however, clicking on a small icon in the lower right corner did bring up a chat window. We quickly received a phone number and email address after asking via the chat window.

Pricing is reasonable and the advertised time frame for Better Legal is impressive. The company’s lack of negative reviews is also a good sign.
